The resort of Calis has grown considerably over recent years and is still modernising and transforming. The beach front is where the majority of restaurants can be found but you can also find many great little places on the back streets so get out and have a wander around. For a rough guide on some popular choices see below:
Nil Bar and Restaurant
Located on the beach front, this family run restaurant and bar is popular with tourists, locals and ex-pats. Reasonable prices and a tasty and varied array of dishes are served up with a good view and atmosphere.
Serving a good choice of home comfort and traditional dishes, Anna Bar on the beach front is friendly and popular throughout the day and evening and a great place to watch the sunset.
The charming little Enya can be found on the seafront and serves a small but well cooked menu of traditional food and grills overlooking the bay. Good prices.
If you are in the mood for an Italian then Bella Mama underneath Delta Hotel is one of the best in Calis. Gorgeous pastas, creamy sauces and pizzas served up with a smile overlooking the sea.
Sat Restaurant and Beach Club
In one of the best locations right by the nature reserve at the end of the beachfront is the wonderful Sat Restaurant. Take your camera and enjoy the sunset or an evening meal looking out on the pretty Sovalye Island and bay, it may not be the cheapest but is ideal for a special occasion or sundown drink.
In the centre of Calis on the main road leading to the front is Meeting Point. With good reviews and a varied menu, it’s a popular place with reasonable prices
