Dalaman International Airport is situated on the Mediterranean coastline of Turkey between the towns of Marmaris and Fethive. Getting to the airport by car is easy whether you arrive from the east or the west a from either direction you follow the D400 motorway and exit towards the south on route 5, which goes to Dalaman and the airport. There are signs to the airport from the motorway.
It is 7.5km from the south of the town centre of Dalaman and it receives domestic flights from Istanbul and charter and scheduled flights from all over Europe.
The airport has two terminal buildings (domestic and international) which are within walking distance of each other with connecting walkways. Dalaman Airport International Terminal was completed in 2006 and has an annual capacity of 10 million passengers and can easily handle up to 4,000 passengers and 5,000 bags per hour using 60 check in counters.
The basement and Level 1 are dedicated to arriving passengers whereas Levels 2 and 3 are used for departures.
Dalaman Airport (DLM) is the fourth biggest airport of Turkey - and after Istanbul and Antalya Airports the third busiest airport of Turkey.
Dalaman Airport serving mainly the travel and holiday industry especially gets busy during the summer months.
Its the main airport for the holiday makers coming from UK and Europe to beach resorts of Fethiye Marmaris Olu deniz Hisaronu Ovacik Gocek Dalyan Kalkan Kas and recently Sarigerme.
