If your dream holiday home is a restored house in the heart of unspoilt countryside, where you can spend your time daydreaming, swimming in your own pool and marvelling at the glorious views in all directions, then look no further. Believed to be at least 200 years old, Manzara Evi has been sympathetically restored to provide comfortable accommodation for a couple or a family, without sacrificing any of its considerable old-world charm.
The name of the villa translates as 'the panorama house', an apt name, for its slightly elevated position looks out over the whole of the Kaya Valley to the hauntingly beautiful deserted village of Kaya. So that guests can spend as little time as possible away from this idyllic spot, Manzara Evi's owner has added a private swimming pool to the large garden that surrounds the house, and a delightful shaded sitting area with traditional Turkish cushions and kilims, where you can spend hours day-dreaming and admiring the vista.
The house itself oozes original character from every pore of its thick stone walls. The front room has twin beds and a handsome fireplace framed on both sides by windows with panoramic views across the valley. To the rear of this room is a small hallway which leads to the double bedroom and the shower room. A wooden staircase leads down from the front room to a kitchen/dining room on the lower floor.
Standing at the end of a small track, with just a few other houses and a sprinkling of old ruins for neighbours, the setting is truly tranquil, so that those who simply come in search of rest and relaxation will rarely feel the need to go anywhere else. The house's location, however, is equally suited to keen walkers, who will find some splendid terrain right on their doorstep, including an ancient footpath to the centre of Fethiye and an old track down to Gemiler beach. The less energetic will be pleased to know that we have included a hire car in the cost of the holiday, for whilst there are a number of simple restaurants and mini-markets in the Kaya Valley, they are just a little too far to walk from the house. Using the car, you can also reach Gemiler Beach in just 10 minutes, whilst Oludeniz and Fethiye are just a little further, so that Manzara Evi's deliciously rural ambience does not come at the expense of accessibility
