Resort Guide > Sarigerme > Things to do

Sarigerme is popular from late April to October each year and has a good variety of local trips and excursions that can be booked via local operators and resort offices. The resort village centre is quite small and quiet if compared with many of the more established holiday haunts but does have a few popular attractions and the beach is certainly the main highlight in the area. See below a few ideas on how to fill your days in Sarigerme:

Join a Jeep Safari
: For a fun-packed, dirty, dusty day out book a jeep safari. Get fetched early morning and driven through local villages, across mountains and through deep canyons. Walk through freezing brooks and eat a fishy lunch sat on decks across fast moving mountain rapids. Spend the afternoon zipping through Dalyan, Turtle beach and Bozburun Hill before heading back in time for a dip and a well-deserved sundown drink in your hotel.

12 Islands Boat Trip: Get fetched early morning and travel with your shipmates the 25 minutes to the famous port of Gocek. Board your boat and head out to sea to explore the famed 12 Islands on one of the most popular day trips. Spend the day perfecting the tan, eating a light grilled fish lunch and cooling off in the clear waters of the Med - a ‘must do’ on any visit!

Watch the Sunset: Enjoying a drink and sitting down to watch the sunset is a highlight wherever you are in Turkey. Watching the sky change from blues and yellows to stunning shades of red and orange is the ideal way to cap off your day and the views from Sarigerme beach or from many of the hotels, simply superb!

Horse Riding:
Just 20 minutes from Sarigerme are the picturesque valleys and forests around Fevziye. Take an early morning or late afternoon excursion horse riding and see the countryside from a different perspective. The horses are well looked after and suited to all abilities and levels of experience.

Enjoy a Turkish Bath and Massage: Unwind and relax by booking a Turkish bath at your hotel or via a local agent. A real ‘must do’ towards the beginning of your holiday, it helps your tan take hold and last longer. Wear your swimmers and head off for a couple of hours of being pampered. Sit in a hot and steamy sauna before getting led to a heated marble slab in the bath room where a masseur gently exfoliates your body with a rough Turkish mitt. Relax as a pillow case of bubbles is poured over your body and let your worries fade away with a gentle massage until they close off your pores with a few buckets of freezing cold water - a fabulous experience that leaves you revitalised and energised, all coming at a remarkably good price.
